Product Description
The Horn of Ra pendant is forged of 950 Palladium or a combination of 950kt yellow gold and inspired by the great God of Egypt as a symbol of power. The origin of the magnificent pendant is the 30mmx40mm cabochon of natural gemstone material. The hand selected natural cabochon gemstones supplied for these unique offerings are hand cut by our lapidary to a flawless finish from the private collection vault of the House of Gio(Jo). The premium natural gemstones are an estimated 100cts plus and are hand picked by our resident Graduate Gemologist (GIA). The pendant is hand finished to a high polish. This exclusive pendant has an estimated weight of one hundred plus grams and approx. 73 millimeters in diameter. It represents the pinnacle of the House of Gio (Jo) Pharaoh designer men's jewelry collection. Production is limited to 4 signature pieces. One in 950 Palladium, two in 950 Palladium with 950kt, and one in 950kt yellow gold. It comes engraved with the signature of Gio the Jeweler and production number. Call us to discuss the details of this extraordinary offering.
For the Egyptians, the sun most basically represented light, warmth, and growth. This made Ra very important to Egyptians, and it is probably therefore no coincidence that he came to be seen as the ruler of all. The sun was either seen as the body or eye of Ra. Ra was thought to travel in The Boat of the Millions to protect its fires from the primordial waters of the underworld it passed through during the night. Ra is primarily depicted as a man in artwork, wearing a pharaoh's crown (a sign of his kingship over the deities) and the sun disk on his head. Often he had a falcon's head, much like Horus. Sometimes, Ra is portrayed differently according to the position of the sun in the sky. At sunrise he was the young boy Khepri, at noon the falcon-headed man Harakhty, and at sunset the elder Atum. This constant aging was suggested by the Egyptians as the reason Ra stayed separate from to world and let Osiris or Horus rule in his place.
